Job description:
|
1. Lead a group responsible for the discovery of innovative small molecule anti-cancer therapeutics
2. Provide scientific leadership and expertise in cancer biology and oncology drug discovery
3. Group is responsible for assay development, compound profiling, mechanism of action studies and biomarker development
4. Conduct in vivo efficacy studies in rodent tumor models as well as PK/PD analysis through CROs
5. Provide project leadership to lead and coordinate both internal and external efforts to achieve project goals.

Skills:
|
Requires a Ph.D preferably in Biology. Candidates should have hands-on experience with the following: ˇ
In-depth knowledge of major principles in cancer biologyˇ
A solid understanding of oncology drug discovery and development of successful small molecule therapeuticsˇ
A track record of success in one or more areas of cancer researchˇ
3-4 years experience in oncology drug discovery in a pharmaceutical or biotech companyˇ
Demonstrated ability of recruiting, managing and mentoring research associatesˇ
Excellent written and oral communication skillsˇ Experience in CRO selection and management is a plus
Technical Skills: Modern molecular and cellular techniques frequently used in oncology research
