Design Engineer - Biotech / Medical Device - Boston

Responsibilities:
* Use diverse engineering skills to develop thermoformed and injection molded culture vessels and associated aseptic automation systems. Projects will focus on but will not be limited to; designing new disposable culture vessels, final product packaging, automated production systems to improve product yield, increase capacity and/or reduce over all production costs.
* Take conceptual designs through detailed design, fabrication at outside manufacturers and testing. * Support various aspects of plasticware design and fabrication with consideration given towards end product requirements (medical device requirements) and automated manufacturing.

Skills:
|
* Highly motivated and creative individual with proven experience in plastics design: thermoforming and injection molding.
* High level of competency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
* 3+ years experience in plastics design
* Wide range of materials knowledge
* Solid mechanical aptitude
* Willing to travel up to 20%
* Medical Device and/or GMP experience
* Machine Design experience
